Updates (2008)

June 17th, 2008 - Again, the site's not dead. (Though it probably seems like it.) I just haven't gotten around to anything lately, and my summer doesn't seem to be any less busy! Anyway, I've two things I need to do this week. One, I told my friends I'd go with them to the beach tomorrow (I never go to the beach...), and two, I have an orientation meeting this Saturday for the Japanese exchange student program I'm in. Unfortunately this means two days are occupied during the rest of my week, and for the other free ones, today and Friday, I'm planning to get some cleaning done and work on my sites. Yay? Anyway, first thing's first. This, at the beginning, was a hard desicion for me to make, but I've finally closed the Ask the Characters and Marrige Certificates pages. They were so much fun during the four years I had them going, but I really don't have interest in them anymore. There are plenty of other sites who probably do both, so have a look around the internet. ^-^ Also, you may have noticed, but this site is now a graphics only website, which means layouts, graphics and resources are the only things you'll find here. This is a choice I've been pondering a while, and I'm sure it's not a big deal to everyone. Please continue to visit Serene Lair and support this beloved site of mine!

May 20th, 2008 - Just some quick news before I go to bed... >.<; (It's 4:35AM!) No, the site's not dead. I just haven't gotten around to updating. Something I want to do is update the Ask the Characters page this week since I have some pretty awesome questions waiting to be added in my inbox. Also, I do believe I need to make some marrige certificates, too. (Why am I letting everything pile up in my inbox? *Sweatdrop.*) Alsoooo, I'm working on a new layout for download! I have the photoshop file of the header practically yelling at me to finish it then code the thing!! Ah, so much to do here and at other places... Not that I actually mind being busy anymore since most things are fun, but still. XD; Gotta convert those fanlistings of mine... so over and out for now! :P

May 2nd, 2008 - Aww, crap! Sorry about that. Didn't realize I haven't posted an update in almost two and a half weeks... I swear, the hardest thing isn't actually updating the site, it's forgetting to post what was updated, and/or forgetting to actually upload the updated pages via FTP. Oh, well. To start off, there is one new wallpaper up. It was mainly experimental and done out of boredom, so it's kind of odd. Lol. There are also four new 100 x 100 avatars up, and those are kinda random, too. Hmm, isn't my stuff always random? Yeah, I think so... Well, that's all I can manage for now. Enjoy!

April 15th, 2008 - No really big updates for now... but I hope little ones will count for something as they make the site better bit by bit. First off, as you can see, the entry page is gone. I kind of found it unnecessary so I deleted it. ^^; I'm thinking of doing that with KTSS eventually, too, but eh, we'll see. Also, the terms of usage, which I place on every graphic page, have been updated. Please be sure to follow them as best as you can! I always try my best to give credit when I use something, so I expect you to do so as well! ^_^ Come on, it's not very difficult and sites like mine put them there for a reason. Ahem, anyway... I've got other things to update, I'm roleplaying, and I need to make dinner, so I'll end this here. Until next time~

April 6th, 2008 - "Ahh! Omg, Serene Lair has become one of those sites that's not updating because it's closing! Must delete off links!" NO!! XD;; A thousand times, nooooo! I'm NOT closing. Not anytime soon because I still love to make graphics, I want to learn new tricks, I want to get better and possibly seek this as one of my careers! So no, no, no, no, no! Anyway, I understand the site has "died". Did you notice? All of my websites did. I just haven't had the inspiration nor time (darn you people who demand roleplays to boot!), so it's to be expected. Not to worry, though, I'm going to get back into my -- at minimum -- weekly news and updates! ^^ Huzzah? Oh, oh, have you noticed? A "shiny" new layout for Serene Lair after so long! I'm sorry, I just loved the previous one so much! It was so pretty and gave off serene vibes! This one really suits the website's newest title too, actually. Don't you agree this layout gives off a calm feeling? Especially the colors! Ah, blue~! (And Van Fanel~♥!!) Hope you like. Also, there are two new avatars that aren't exactly new, new as I made them durring the second week of February... Gah! I didn't make one update or news post in March (thanks to an anime convention *coughcough* and failing router). Pathetic, much? XD Oh and what happened to all my affies/sibbies? ;o; I've deleted a lot because they closed their websites... Noooo! *tear* Okay, I'll shut up now. Until my next post, that is~ ;)

February 29th, 2008 - For the past five days or so, I haven't been able to access my websites. I was curious as to why, worrying that perhaps my host went down. Alas, it turned out to be my wireless router. There is some sort of error which prevented me from getting to my website -- now all sites. The thing's burning out as it seems and dad is going to get a new one today or tomorrow. Therefore I am stuck using this crappy old computer on the first floor where the actual internet modem is and I can't make any graphics. T__T I can, however, make things on my computer then put them on CDs or a flash drive and finally come back down here to put the stuff onto this computer. The process itself is tiresome and annoying, especially since this computer is much slower than mine. In the end I can't guarentee I'll do it. But don't give up on me yet! I do still love my sites and making graphics, so I'll have some updates when my luck actually turns out good or I feel like it. ^^;

February 11th, 2008 - Sorry about the site being down for almost a week. >.<; My old host went out of business, so I desperately had to find a new one that would be just as affordable of the last. Turns out this one is not only that, but better! For a dollar more, I get twice as much space (1000mb) and 15 more gigs of bandwidth (35,000mb), as well as a lot of unlimited things and cool tools. Not bad if I do say so myself. Anyway, due to the downtime, I've let all my websites go including this one. Don't worry though, I've got some new avatars and I'm planning a new layout! Ja ne~

January 20th, 2008 - Finally some good updates. Are you excited? Yes? No? Maybe? Well, if you're wondering what I've done, allow me to get right to it. There is one new div layout up in the designs section. Go check it out! It features Ayumu Narumi and Hiyono Yuizaki from Spiral - Suiri no Kizuna. I've also added a few new pictures to the Yuugiou GX gallery and I should probably add more to the other ones, as well as add some new galleries in general. The last thing I did was add two new Ask the Character questions and comments. Enjoy.

January 19th, 2008 - Sorry for the lack of updates! I haven't exactly been "busy", more or less just distracted by things. For example: As soon as I finish my classwork I head upstairs to my room, turn on the PC and I go, "Okay! I'm ready to get some things done online now!" Then out of the blue my Portuguese buddy who roleplays Yu Kanda and I get into a convo with each other as well as three-five other people. XD; And from there we end up roleplaying crazy stuff so I completely forget about things I want to get done! Poor Serene Lair is one of them. It's alright though, as I'm going to try not to get distracted later on today after I get some sleep. The layout must be getting old by now but I'm more focused on updating the site's content rather than the template itself. Well, that's all for now. I'm simply babbling. Affies/Sibbies, I'm visiting you! I love your sites as always! :)

January 9th, 2008 - Wow, I always keep reminding myself that it's not 2007 anymore because sometimes I end up accidentally forgetting to put an eight instead of seven. XD Anyway! I finally have some updates! From now on there will be an mp3 rotation where I'll update new songs whenever I feel like it, then delete the previous. Go take a look at what I have up there now if you'd like. :) Also, I organized a few things more and added eight new 100 x 100 avatars. There's a new link me button up as well. Hmm, the site is in need of a new layout. I'll make one sometime this month hopefully. Lol. I'm so lazy and busy at the same time. Well, I hope you enjoy and happy new year!
